Fees & What to Expect

Fees

Please note that I do not take any insurance. However, many people find they can get reimbursed, in full or in part, for their work with me. You will want to call your insurance carrier and ask about reimbursement for an Out of Network provider for CPT codes 90791 (initial evaluation,) and 90834, (ongoing psychotherapy services.) I will help with any statements you might need for your insurance in order to get you reimbursed for the fees you have paid me directly.

One thing to keep in mind is that with many insurance products, the insured is required to pay a deductible before they move to a co-pay arrangement. You might find that you are paying as much out of pocket with an in-network provider as you would paying out of pocket. In any case, it’s a really good idea to do a little research to see what your best next move might be as you seek the support that will best get your goals.

Payment

I accept cash, check or major credit card. Payment is required at the time of service. If my services are not financially feasible for you, please go to https://www.opencounseling.com/maryland/columbia.

Military and Veterans

I am an approved Preferred Non-Network Provider for Tricare. If you have Tricare, please contact the regional office under which your plan falls and ask if you can be reimbursed for work with a Preferred Non-Network Provider. I also maintain a few pro bono slots for military professionals, veterans and/or their families under the Give An Hour program, (Give An Hour.) Those slots tend to stay full, but please inquire if you qualify. If I can help, I want to.
