Fees & What to Expect

Fees

Please note that I do not take any insurance. However, many people find they can get reimbursed, in full or in part, for their work with me. You will want to call your insurance carrier and ask about reimbursement for an Out of Network provider for CPT codes 90791 (initial evaluation,) 90834, (ongoing psychotherapy services,) and possibly, 90847 (couples or family therapy.) I email a monthly SuperBill that should have all of the documentation you need in order to get  reimbursed for the fees you have paid me directly, if your insurance offers that benefit.

Keep in mind that with many insurance products, the insured is required to pay a deductible before they move to a co-pay arrangement. You might find that you are paying as much out of pocket with an in-network provider as you would paying out of pocket. In any case, it’s a really good idea to do a little research to determine your best next move in accomplishing your goals.

Hypnotherapy

I offer hypnotherapy for specific behavior-change work to therapy clients at the regular per-hour rate. Hypnotherapy is also offered as a stand-alone service (not eligible for insurance reimbursement) through Sankofa Unboxed Coaching.

Payment

All fees are paid via card through Square and are charged the morning of the pending appointment. I can accept credit, debit and FSA cards, and I will hold your card information on file in an HITECH-compliant privacy environment.

If my services are not financially feasible for you, please go to https://www.opencounseling.com/maryland/columbia. You can also do a search at TherapyDen.com to find a provider who is sliding scale, or covered by your insurance. (Let me know if I can help you find someone.)

Military and Veterans

I maintain a few pro bono slots for military professionals, veterans and/or their families under the Give An Hour program, (Give An Hour.) Those slots tend to stay full, but please inquire if you qualify. If I can help, I will. Thank you for the sacrifices that you have made as a member or family member of the military.
