Serving in military service is a unique experience. Sometimes finding help can be a head tangle. If you have served, or if you are a family member who has served, please see if the following resources might be useful for you and yours:
Stellate Ganglion Block
Click here for an explanation of the SGB by Dr. James Lynch. Dr. Lynch is the premiere provider of this technique and has a heart to see that as many people have access to this potentially life-changing procedure as possible. His office maintains a list of organizations that help to make the procedure available to all. Most are for military veterans, but others are specifically for first responders and survivors of sexual assault. Dr. Lynch is a veteran himself, and has a special heart or his fellow veterans. You can connect with him HERE.
Hypnotherapy
Please don’t let the idea of hypnotherapy scare you: You are in control at all times! While I offer hypnotherapy to my therapy clients, I can also offer it as a stand-alone service through my Coaching Practice. As a stand alone, we don’t spend a whole lot of time digging into the past. We look together at pressure points where you would like to see relief and co-design a script that can be effective for you. Learn more, and listen to a sample session HERE.
Give An Hour
Members of the military, veterans and their families are eligible for pro bono services through Give an Hour. When I’m able, I offer those pro bono services, but those slots tend to stay full. If you are military-connected and want counseling but can’t afford it, please click HERE.
Alternative Therapies for Veterans
Practices like acupuncture, yoga, meditation, art therapy, music therapy and so on can be a tremendous help in helping veterans recover and restore from challenging experiences in the military. Learn more from the offices of Rob Levine HERE.
